Dr. George Hill Hodel Documentation as “Camp Surgeon” at CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) (1936-1937) in New Mexico Just Two Years Before Hiring on with the L.A. County Health Department

For those that claim George Hodel never held a job as a surgeon in his doctoring years prior to joining the Los Angeles Health Department.  Here is a copy of Dr. George Hodel’s 1942 Public Health Service application which documents his service as the sole surgeon at a Arizona logging camp in 1936 and 1937, just two years before hiring on with L.A. County Health Department in 1939.

GHH applied for Public Health Service 3/10/42

Application per date stamp received April 14, 1942
which included on his resume under No. 12 “Statement of positions held” the following: “Camp Surgeon, CCC, New Mexico, Dec. 1936- June 1937.
