For those that claim George Hodel never held a job as a surgeon in his doctoring years prior to joining the Los Angeles Health Department. Here is a copy of Dr. George Hodel’s 1942 Public Health Service application which documents his service as the sole surgeon at a Arizona logging camp in 1936 and 1937, just two years before hiring on with L.A. County Health Department in 1939.

Application per date stamp received April 14, 1942
which included on his resume under No. 12 “Statement of positions held” the following: “Camp Surgeon, CCC, New Mexico, Dec. 1936- June 1937.
