Just read the below, well-written article in The Messernger by Eboni Boykin-Patterson : “Unsolved Hollywood Mystery: The 1949 Disappearance of an Aspiring Actress” (December 30, 2023).
I want to make corrections to references attributed to me in the below article just posted on The Messenger today. 1) Our former residence, known as The Sowden House, or The Franklin House, 5121 Franklin Avenue, was never owned by actress Laura Prepon. Her residence was north of the property uphill and directly behind. In my previous writings Black Dahlia Avenger II, III I suggested that one or more of the Lone Woman Murder victims (which included Jean Spangler) could have been buried on that uphill property, which at the time of my investigation, was owned by Ms. Prepon. Much additional potential linkage of Dr. George Hodel to Jean Spangler is presented in both my follow-up books. A detailed timeline of Jean Spangler’s movements can be seen at the following blog: https://stevehodel.com/…/forensic-expert-reports-test…/ The possibility exists that any one of three known LWM victims could be buried in the basement of the Sowden/Hodel residence as soil samples proved positive “for human remains”; cadaver dog Buster alerted to human remains in the basement; and the original DA investigators documented on paper the possibility that bodies might be buried in the Hodel basement in their 1950 reports.
